Sunday 17th January was a very busy day for our Milan Fashion Week and it started with the Presentation of the Peuterey Men's Autumn Winter 2016 2017 Collection at Palazzo Serbelloni .
A historic and wonderful location for a collection that mixes classic and modern. Peuterey calls for change, with a whisper that is louder than a shout, without revolutions. The movement is born from the awareness that fashion design should be a matter of form and function. The brand firmly believes that clothing should satisfy the need to represent oneself within society while being something useful and functional, day after day. Proposing functional and modular clothes, designed for people who think, create, live and dream.
This season is marked by the debut of Peuterey Studio , a collection for which creative director Federico Curradi develops a modular wardrobe mixing utility elements with gentlemanly touches. Curradi ideally addresses a man who is both a thinker and a creator: an inventor .
The Peuterey Men's Fall Winter 2016 2017 Collection is a distillation of the essence, a contemporary wardrobe rethought following an idea of elegant dynamism. Parkas and pragmatic jackets are reinterpreted in diagonal or technical wools; coats and duffle coats have internal straps to be worn as backpacks when necessary, while moleskin jackets with detachable linings and shearling collars can be used in different ways; utilitarian shirts and precise sweaters express practicality. Mathematical jacquards and geometric inlays give the knitwear a cerebral, yet concrete charm. The choice of fabrics is classic, there are double- face wools , nylon and gabardine. The color palette features interesting 1950s accents through tones of anthracite and military green.
